Due to the rise in the cost of production and the evolution in technology, the reliance on traditional media was declining. Many audience voices became alienated due to the lack of coverage and in turn a rise in demand for first-hand inclusive, authentic, and diverse news for both media and audiences.  

Our goal was set; to transform eyewitnesses into citizen reporters and from wherever they were. Marginalized voices would get a space to engage, interact, and inform on issues important to them.

Our execution was more dynamic and engaging as we utilized people’s social media platforms and mobile technology to capture and share real-time stories.
