Opinion – Azimio Political Branding Commentary

Disclaimer – This commentary is purely for creative branding purposes and does bear any political inclinations towards the candidate nor the party.

hashtag#PoliticalBranding has significantly improved over the years, we have seen politicians move away from flyer-type billboards to minimalist aesthetic styles.

Well, times have changed, exposure has changed our mindsets as consumers and to keep up with us, it’s only fair that they keep up with the trends … right?

So, let’s jump straight into it…

I’ll start with hashtag#Azimio because their hashtag#CommunicationStrategy is commendable! It’s very refreshing and different from what we are used to. I mean their entire roll out just shouts Quality!

They are clearly working with a professional hashtag#communicationagency because their plan is very well mapped out, from hashtag#personalbranding to visual style, key messages, and communication touchpoints, they hit the mark! I’d like to assume their communication approach is influenced by the western scene because some of their design elements and messaging feel westernized to me.

But as a sucker for hashtag#minimalism, their billboards are the highlights for me! I not only appreciate their refreshed designs that give me something to look forward to every time, but also the overall aesthetic that exudes a very modern and international feel.

In addition to their billboards, their hashtag#tvadverts are also creating a buzz online, and what really stood out to me is the immersion that I felt and a not-so-subtle dig at the hashtag#UDA camp that was rather comical and made me gasp in sheer surprise.

Overall, I think the hashtag#Azimio campaign was incredibly executed, this is a whole new level and they have set the standards for political branding in Kenya!

I’m excited to see how this is going to change the branding scene moving forward, and give me something more to talk about 😊
